You are known at 4U for being hard-working and indispensable to your team. What are your responsibilities at the company?


作为技术部门的一员,我的主要工作任务是为项目的顺利签单、实施落地进行技术支持,这其中包括售前、售中及售后三个阶段,三个阶段具体工作内容细分来讲:


1.售前阶段:

1)对于需要投标的项目:通读招标文件,提出问题让客户释疑,根据释疑文件配合销售完成投标技术文件(技术图纸及报价清单),参加项目标前答疑会,澄清技术疑点;

2)对于直做项目:直接通过客户或者销售获取项目需求,需求不明时需要去客户项目现场进行勘察,根据所获需求信息设计相应的图纸及报价清单。


2.售中阶段:

售中阶段即项目实施阶段,本阶段主要任务即是配合项目经理对所中标项目进行深化设计,包括各子系统设备清单数量确定及施工图纸的深化设计,如网络点位、门禁监控点位编号,配架表、机柜立面图、安装大样图等,确保项目可以按照正确的施工图纸推进完成。


3.售后阶段:

售后阶段即项目完成交付后的阶段,本阶段主要任务即配合售后服务部门满足交付项目客户的后期改造需求,包括现场勘查(如有必要)及设计图纸及报价清单。



As a member of the technical department, I am responsible for providing technical support for the signing of deals and implementation of projects. This involves three phases: pre-sales, sales and after-sales. Specific work in these phases is shown below:

 

1. Pre-sales:

1) For projects that involve bidding: By reading the bidding documents, raising questions to the customer, assisting salespeople in completing technical bids according to clarification documents (including the technical drawings and quotation list), attend pre-bidding Q&A meetings and clarify technical questions;

2) For projects that do not involve bidding: Obtain project requirements directly from the customer or salespeople. When the requirements are unclear, conduct a survey at the customer's project site. Design drawings and quotation lists based on the information acquired.

 

2. Sales:

The sales phase mainly involves in project implementation. In this phase, my main task is to assist the project manager in deep design of the project we have won, including determining the quantity of subsystem equipment and deep design of construction drawings, such as network point locations, access monitoring point numbers, frame tables, cabinet vertical views, detailed drawings of installation, etc., to ensure the project can becompleted based on the correct construction drawings.

 

3. After-sales:

The after-sales phase is the phase after the delivery of the project. In this phase, the main task is to assist the after-sales service department in meeting the customer's renovation requirements, including the site survey (if necessary), design drawings and quotation list.

 

您遇到的挑战最大的项目是哪个?项目完工后您的感受如何?

What was your most challenging case? How did you feel about it after completion?

 

 就目前来说,我觉得挑战最大的项目是WW威海路项目,主要表现如下:

1WW 威海路项目是我们真正开始做的第一个WW项目,因为WW每个系统都有其既定的标准,在设计前我们需要去研读这些标准,标准中在中国不适合的设备还要找相对应的替代品,非常费时费力;

2)因为是第一个项目,所以我们做的设计与WW的要求有很大的出入,包括方案和清单价格,那会我们团队经常跑到WW办公室和他们的IT团队过设计方案及清单,一来增进相互之间的了解,二来当面沟通的效果会更佳;

3WW的项目要求开业时间短,再加上客户不断会有新的需求,方案不断在变化,这就给我们团队采购和施工带来很大的压力,包括资金压力及施工质量压力方面。


不过经过项目团队的努力,这个项目最终按WW要求成功完成,达到了预期的效果,我想这也就是为什么WW会选择和我们一直合作下去,负责任的团队、良好的沟通、上佳的施工质量是我们能赢得客户信赖的前提基础。经过了这一个项目之后,后续的WW项目因为有了经验积累都能如期圆满的实现按时交付WW开业。


Currently, I think the most challenging project was the WeWork Weihai Road project.

 

1) WeWork Weihai Road project was the first WeWork project for us. As there were established standards for all systems of a WeWork project, before design, we needed to study these standards. For the equipment that failed to meet the standards, we had to seek substitutes,which was time-consuming and arduous;

2) As it was our first WeWork project, our design deviated considerably from WeWork's requirements, including the scheme and list price. At the time, our team often went to WeWork's office to discuss the design scheme and list with their IT team, to promote mutual understanding and improve communication;

3) There was a tight schedule for the WeWork project, and the customer kept raising new requirements. So the scheme kept changing. This put a lot of pressure on our team in purchasing and construction, including capital and construction quality.


However, through the team's efforts, the project was completed based on WeWork's requirements, producing the desired results. I think this is the reason why WeWork would choose to continue to work with us. A responsible team, good communication and excellent construction quality are the key factors for us to win the customer's trust. After that, thanks to our experience, we have been able to deliver WeWork's other projects on time.



是什么激励着您始终尽职敬业、努力工作? 

What motivates you to remain so dedicated and hard-working?

 

我始终这样认为自己要为自己负责,不管是在工作还是在生活上,能支配自己的还是自己的思想意识。公司提供了一个平台,提供了一个工作岗位,我的责任就是在这个岗位上发挥自己的所能去尽力达到岗位要求,要求自己尽力去做好每件事。在公司我并不是个体的存在,我的工作会和同事之间存在着千丝万缕的联系,我需要确保从我手里出去的材料是正确可用的,同事才可以在我的材料基础上去完成他们的工作。


I always believe that one should take responsibility for himself/herself. In both business and pleasure, what dominates one is his/her own ideas. The company provides a platform and a job. My responsibility is to do my best to meet the job requirements and accomplish every task. At the company, I'm not alone. My job is closely linked to my colleagues. I need to make sure the materials that I provided are correct and usable, so that my colleagues can do their jobs with the materials.


在服务在中国运营的外商客户时,其他中国公司可能在哪些方面有所欠缺? 

What is one way that other Chinese companies might fall short when serving foreign clients in China?

 

1)中国的母语是中文,在做外国公司的业务时语言沟通会是一个比较大的障碍,沟通上的不畅通也许会导致信息的不对称,信息不对称致使项目无法按照客户实际需求完成,效果也就会大打折扣;

2)外国客户做事风格上与中国企业可能会有不同,如果在做他们项目的时候风格不能与他们保持一致,也会致使客户不满意,达不到实际效果。


1)The mother tongue is Chinese. So they might face a considerable language barrier when doing business with a foreign company. Bad communication might result ininformation asymmetry, which makes it impossible to complete the project based on the customer's specific requirements. It hurts the effects;


4)Foreign customers do business in a way different from Chinese businesses. If other Chinese companies complete their projects in a style different from theirs, they may be dissatisfied, and the actual effects cannot be achieved.
